The objective of this project was to create a brand identity, packaging, and marketing material for a Madagascar based coffee company trying to break into the US market.
I chose the Lemur for the logo to represent where the brand comes from, and the impact choosing their products can make.
The colors I chose give a greater connection to Madagascar and the vibrancy of life there. On the packaging I incorporated the colors, and different species of Lemur to represent different product variety.
I wanted to create a friendly, informative email that reduced friction from the consumer and lead to higher click through rates.
Madagascar is the only place wild Lemurs exist. Mainly due to deforestation at least 17 species have gone extinct. Out of the 111 known living species 105 are critically endangered or vulnerable.
Malagasy's plantation is Rainforest Alliance Certified and shade grown. This not only produces a larger and better bean, but provides a safe habitat for over 20 different endangered Lemur species.
The target audience for Malagasy are ethically conscious consumers who are willing to pay a higher cost for products that align with their values.
